Huanchaco is a village on the northern coast of Peru famous for its surfing and local fisherman boats made of reed, called caballitos. The Totora, around Huanchaco, are a few of the most important archeological sites in Peru and include many pyramidal temples, forts and palaces built by the Moche and ChimĂș, another Peruvian ancient civilization.
