Project Description

Former Inca capital with ruins including Qoricancha and colonial buildings including Santa Domingo Convent

Cusco is located on the Andean mountain range of Peru with an elevation around 11,200 feet. Cusco was once the capital of the ancient Incan Empire, yet its history still lives in the streets, squares, valleys and towns.

The city itself provides impressive examples of engineering excellence of Incan stonemasons, living together with the hispanic colonial architecture, captivating attractions and landscapes; such as the Incan Sacred Valley – where terraces cover the mountains – and picturesque villages, showcasing the past lives in the present.
